ADSL
High-speed technology (broadband) that makes use of the standard twin-core copper telephone line for transmission. There are several variants of this subscribed digital connection technology (Digital Subscriber Line), whereby the best-known version is ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line). The connection is described as asymmetric because the outgoing data transfer (from network to computer) has a higher capacity than the incoming.
