Programme window
Certain foreign broadcasters transmit their programme for Switzerland with different content at certain times in that they show a specially prepared Programme window for Swiss audiences in place of the original programme (at Sat1 for example). The broadcaster is required to acquire the rights for Switzerland in respect of the content Broadcast in the programme window. The broadcasts in the Swiss Programme window (and not the original programme window) are relevant for the distribution. If the actual programme is Broadcast unchanged and only the Advertising replaced by Advertising spots aimed specifically at Switzerland, this is known as Swiss Advertising windows.
